This morning when I tried to access my company’s Lotus Notes email account, an error poped up as below:

I have a common situation at the beginning of a month–to delete previous month’s emails that serial indesing 5 had been read from server inbox but to keep those unread ones.

1. Select all the emails (regardless of read or unread) within the date range desired.

• High number of files that you want to copy
• The files you want to copy are huge in size

• Notepad would straightway show the replaced text (alias with comma in this case) as it happened one by one during the processing.
• WordPad would only show the serial indesing 5 replaced text after the whole file had been processed.

With this recent experience, I’ll serously consider to serial indesing 5 change the default text editor on my Windows XP from serial indesing 5 Notepad to WordPad.

• C — Cancel the CL program
• D — Dump the CL program variables and cancel the CL program
• I — Ignore the failing command (and resume at the next command in the program)

Both modes support commitment control type *CHG, which allows rollback of changes.

In order to use *CHG commitment control, the files to be changed (inserted, updated, or deleted) have to be journaled first using STRJRNPF. Otherwise error ‘File in Library not valid for operation’ will occur.

Alternatively, if there’s no good reason to journal a file (as additional disk space will be serial indesing 5 occupied by journal receiver file to store journal entries), you can also run a SQL statement using commitment control *NONE. The drawback is of course the changes can’t be rolled back.
