Most are probably great in their own light. But, here’s one thing that really bothers me about all these products.

So, the goal of the product is to teach “us” how to make money, right? Yet, they sell the products based on how much that “guru” is earning?

Again, I’m not saying that the guru doesn’t make that much money, I’m sure he/she does. However, how does that help “me?”

Just because someone is good at making money does not mean they’re good at teaching us how to do it. I’m always shocked at how none of them talk about what their “students” make.

Crappy testimonials…

To top it off, a lot of testimonials are general and just say “Oh yea, this course is great…” and most of time the testimonials are just from their “buddies” – I think these hardly carry any value!

How about sharing the “exact” amount that the students are now making 100% thanks to the course that they’re trying to sell us?

Anyways, that was my rant. The reason I thought about it was because, yes, there is yet another course being “re” launched soon. Trust me, if you haven’t heard about it you will.

This is good news to marketers whom has been using keyword research as they now have access to keyphrase demand (how many people search for a particular keyphrase) in addition to keyphrase supply (how many web pages have a particular keyphrase).

Background

Jeremy got into affiliate marketing in late 2003. As a new affiliate he learned the ropes very quickly, and started making money shortly after putting a few affiliate links on one of his sites. Back then it was relatively easy to get a top search listing, click costs were low, and the competition wasn’t very savvy. Anybody with a decent looking site and a little traffic could have made money.

Fast forward 5 years to 2008 and the affiliate landscape is completely different. It can take months (sometimes years) to get a top 10 listing in Google, click costs have sky-rocketed, and the competition is a lot smarter. Creating a successful affiliate business in this climate is a lot harder than it was five years ago.

The Lie

Unfortunately, a lot of the people selling e-books and info products would have you believe that making money online is easy.

While it’s possible to make a substantial income as an affiliate, it’s unrealistic to think you can go from $0 to six-figure-success in minutes a day or from buying some automated money-making system.

The Truth

Based on Jeremy’s experience and observations, only a small percentage (less than 10%) of new affiliates ever go on to make any money. Even fewer go on to quit their jobs or become super affiliates.

There are a number of reasons affiliates don’t make it. Here are few of the most common:

A few days ago, I heard rumors from various forums that Malaysians can now sign-up for a ClickBank account.

Now, it’s official – ClickBank’s VP of Operations has confirmed it.

Neil did this without creating a product, without spending a cent on advertising, without creating an email list, and without any promotion from any of his existing lists or websites.

The website was launched on January 30. In February, it generated $3,851 in affiliate sales.

Furthermore, Neil can build websites like this as fast as less than an hour. Building one of these websites is simple using a carefully chose datafeed and a script that Neil’s programmers created for him.

Neil has broken a few gurus’ rules here:

• Duplicate content rule doesn’t seem to apply to this site.
• The “you need lots of backlinks” rule doesn’t seem to matter much here as Neil had only one backlink.
• The so-called sandbox which new websites are supposed to go into doesn’t exist as far as this site is concerned.

How long will this technique work? I’m not sure. My guess is that Neil’s technique will be getting more and more popular and, as we all know, once many people start using a marketing technique it often becomes less effective. So you’ll eventually need to get more backlinks to these websites and inevitably do things to make them more unique.

Bottom line, those who move fast will receive the most benefits… jump on this while it’s fresh.

What really is passive cashflow? Well, to me it’s money that comes in without actually doing anything. If you can make money with no effort then you are earning passive income.

One good example would be making sales commissions for products that have recurring billing such as membership subscriptions. One sale equals many months of commissions with the right affiliate products that offers members great value. That’s what you call passive cashflow. One sale many recurring commissions.

Another good example of passive income is when you build a real and white hat content website and it has staying power. If you do it right and if your websites do not get banned — you should have income coming in for a long time with little or no further work required. This is best achieved when you have many websites of different natures getting free search engine traffic and selling affiliate products or advertising (such as AdSense). Keep building them… some will hit it big and make money for a long time!

Passive cashflow is the best way to develop multiple streams of income to achieve wealth and I am always in search of new ideas. You can visualize how exciting I was when I found out that Neil Shearing released an in-depth course covering this subject called “Passive Cashflow Secrets“.

Well I could go on and on about Neil and how great his “Passive Cashflow Secrets” is, but I think I’ll let you go discover his site for yourself so you can see in his own words how he makes a fortune with “passive income”. The videos are very helpful and in plain English that anyone can understand. I believe you’ll find great value in Neil’s video!

Well, apparently this guy, Jermaine Griggs, is different. He shows this video of his sales from 2002-2007. You actually see him go from making $2000 to months of $112,000+… but I still can’t wrap my mind around the fact that he makes this much as a piano teacher (and 80% of his products are focused around gospel music at that). 
 
Urghhhh, I’m a little envious to say the least.
 
But this video is more than just 4 minutes of bragging. I got several things from it:

1. That everyone starts somewhere. Prior to this video (2000-2002), as you’ll soon see, he talks about struggling to make $300. $500 was a good month.
2. That it is possible to double and triple sales from one month to the next. In 2003, the video clearly shows him going from making around $15,000 to $40,000 the next month. This isn’t the only time this happens.
3. That it’s possible to grow sales drastically year after year. His video points out times when he “never made less than $10,000/month again” and when he “never made less than $20,000/month again” and so on… all the way up to $50,000+. Yes, we all have ups and downs but wouldn’t you like to proclaim that you’ll never make less than a certain amount again? 
4. That it doesn’t matter how old you are or where you’ve come from. He was 17-years old when he started and came from very humble beginnings (more on this later).  

So watch the video for yourself. He’ll be launching something very special on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 and trust me when I say, it will be the talk of the season.

Associates earn referral fees according to two fee structure options offered by Amazon.com, as listed below.

• Option 1: Classic Fee Structure
• Option 2. Performance Fee Structure

Associates are automatically enrolled in the Performance Fee Structure.

Classic Fee Structure is Amazon.com’s fixed-referral-rate plan. Associates earn a 4% referral fee on items offered by Amazon or by third parties.

The Performance Fee Structure plan allows associates to earn higher referral fees as they increase the number of shipped items generated through their links. They earn a referral rate from 4% to 10% on items shipped by Amazon or third-party sellers in various categories.

In either plan, Amazon.com imposes referral fee caps on the following two products:

3. What’s the difference between “organic” search and “paid” search?

• “Organic” search (aka natural search) will list the “best” / most relevant pages found for searcher’s keywords, as determined by the search engine being searched. Generally, inclusion and/or position on the search results cannot be bought, but could be influenced using search engine optimization (SEO) techniques.
• “Paid” search allows a marketer to pay to have his/her ad shown in response to the keywords entered by searchers. Generally, the higher a marketer is willing to pay, the higher position his/her ad will be shown.

4. What’s the difference between Google AdWords and Google AdSense?

• Google AdWords is Google’s per-per-click program. It allows marketers to pay to have their ad shown in response to keywords entered by searchers. The ad would be shown on Google search results and optionally on Google’s search network and content network.
• Google AdSense is a Google’s program for content publishers. Content publishers are being rewarded to put AdSense links on their webiste. Google determines the relevant AdWords ads to show on content publishers’ webiste based on the content of a particular web page. Content publishers get paid whenever a visitor clicks on a Google ad.

5. What’s a “keyword” and why is it important for search marketing?

A keyword is an actual search term that online visitors use at various search engines, to search for information, products, or services.

It is important for search marketing because it could tells whether a visitor is just browsing (e.g. digital camera), comparing (e.g. Canon digital camera review), or is ready to buy (e.g. Canon IXUS 800). By focusing on the so-called “buying” keywords, a marketing campaign has a higher chance to succeed.

6. The search engines place a lot of importance on the links that point to your site. What’s more important — the quality of links pointing to your site or the quantity?

The quality of links pointing to my site is more important than the quantity. In the old days, the more links, the better. But now the search engines place huge importance on the quality of links, i.e. where those links are coming from.
7. Which of the following is the most effective search marketing strategy?

a) Participating in a “link exchange” with other web site owners (aka “reciprocal links”)
b) Submitting articles to the ‘Net’s top directories, with links in the articles pointing back to your site
c) Paying for links on “link farm” pages that have links pointing to many different pages on the ‘Net .

Out of the 3 strategies above, the 2nd strategy (articles submission to top directories) is the most effective one. One-way relevant inbound links are the best.

Here’s the reason: the ‘Net’s top directories are all considered to be important, authoritative sites by the search engines. They all have very high PageRank scores (e.g., Open Directory = 8, Yahoo Directory = 8.)

Furthermore, the search engines have started to ignore reciprical links — they see them as cancelling each other out. Therefore requesting another party to link to your site in exchange for you linking to theirs is no longer an effective strategy!

Last but not least… “link farms” have long been on the search engines’ hate list. Whatever you do, don’t buy links on “link farms” because the search engines will actually penalize you for doing so.

Your site position can also change without further notice because this engines change their indexes and ranking rules every now and then.

PPC search engines are more expensive but easier to utilize. You can obtain a much higher listing and fast and steady results.

• Online Promotion and Advertising—these include pay-per-click advertising programs (such as Google AdWords and Yahoo! Search Marketing) that earns from highly-searched keywords, which became the main driving force behind most online-based financial transactions.
• Affiliate Marketing—you will join an affiliate program and promote its products and services over the Internet. You will endorse the products or services, find potential clients for the affiliate company, and you will receive certain commission for every sale that you will make out of your marketing efforts. The commissions that you will receive can run from 2 to 50 percent, depending on the terms and conditions stated under the affiliate program. One affiliate click can generate several cents to a hundreds of dollars.

Among the aforementioned forms of Internet marketing, the last one is the most popular business model which is a combination of affiliate sales and online advertising. There are many professionals who have adopted and became successful in this type of business model. They have created websites on their subjects of interest and of which they have gained several expert knowledge.

Once they have established their website and accumulated large quantities of web traffic, they will be able to generate modest revenue through placing some Google AdSense code on their web pages and placing several content-related affiliate links on their sites.

Now, do you want to join the generation of Internet marketing professionals? The choice is yours to make.

You just need to create a business card that is geared towards a particular affiliate program, and use the business card to promote it.

You may use the title of ‘associate’ or ‘partner’ with the company, which is true, and for the URL, create a redirect link from your domain for a folder in the name of the company you are promoting.

For example, I’m promoting an e-course called EZY Income System (targeted at Internet marketing newbies), therefore I have created a subfolder called “ezyis” beneath the “recommends” folder of my domain. So I advertised http://www.waihon.com/recommends/ezyis on the business card.

In order to create a cloaked affiliate link to EZY Income System. I launched my favorite affiliate marketer software and selected the Clean URL tool provided in the software. In less than 2 minutes, the software has helped me to generate a cloaked affiliate link page (I named it index.html). I uploaded the generated page to the “pis” subfolder that was created earlier. Now when potential customers point their web browser to http://www.waihon.com/recommends/ezyis, they will be redirected to the main page of EZY Income System. However my affiliate link has already been captured in their PC.

myAffiliateAssistant has a tool called Affiliate Programs Manager. You should seriously consider using Google AdWrods — one of the most effective and powerful tools of generating targeted traffic.

But there’s one problem with Google AdWords. Anyone who has used Google AdWords before should know that Google does not allow you to use a web page with pop-ups as your destinations page. It means that you can’t send your prospects directly to a product sales page if it uses pop-ups (and most sales page does), regardless how well its conversion rate is.

However, this problem should not stop you from using this powerful traffic-generating tool. You should find a creative way to overcome this problem.

Most visitors get frustrated being redirected to a page with multiple products on it and never take the effort to find the particular product you referred. Or else they get distracted, start browsing here and there and forget which product they came to check out. So they might end up leaving the page without buying anything and you’ve lost that commission you should have netted.

However, if you could focus your promotion campaign via a link to a particular product page then your focused promotion efforts are sure to generate more sales.

which they would change to

http://www.wonderfulproduct.com/theiraffiliateid

or just plain

http://www.wonderfulproduct.com

These people knew about the product through your hard work and yet you didn’t get the credit. There’s totally unfair.

In order to stop these people from ripping off a piece of your affiliate income, you must find a way to protect your affiliate link.

The software tool that allows you to protect your affiliate link is generally called affiliate link cloaker. myAffiliateAssistant has a tool called Clean URL. It’s available in all editions of myAffiliateAssistant including the Free Edition.

Clean URL will generate a web page (in HTML format) that will show a clean URL (without any affiliate link) on the address bar of a web browser. Your affiliate link is embedded in the HTML file and therefore will not appear on the address bar. Since the affiliate link is also encrypted, it can’t be viewed via View Source function of a web browser. You may then publish the HTML page to your website.

Instead of using original affiliate links like:

and at the same time tag your visitor’s computer with your affiliate ID.

Your affiliate link will be probably and securely cloaked and protected from prying eyes. If link-hijackers and link-bypassers can’t see your affiliate link they can’t change it to their own and take away your affiliate commission.

In short, this tool protects your affiliate income from being ripped off by link-hijackers and link-bypassers.

I was actually a graduate from the first TIMM Super Seminar held way back in August 2003. I volunteered to assist in the coming TIMM Super Seminars since the beginning of 2004.
